Live and Unheard March 2025

Thu 27 Mar 2025

Hangover Hill and Lighthouse present three more highly rated acts as they have a rare opportunity to experience a larger stage in our monthly unsigned music night.

Rose Maris

Rose Maris is an accomplished modern classical pianist and composer, most known for her captivating and dynamic performances. With a profound ability to craft narratives through sound, inviting audiences to join her on a musical journey, blending technical skill with enchanting melodies.

Her long awaited album, Iter Infinitum (“Infinite Journey”), is both a culmination of her artistic evolution and an exploration of different sounds and styles throughout the years. This album is inspired by themes of timelessness and perpetual discovery and each composition is an intricate tapestry of melody and emotion, weaving classical influences with contemporary melodies to create something entirely unique.

Her live interpretations of the works from ‘Iter Infinitum’ promise an immersive experience, showcasing not only her virtuosic skill but her ability to connect deeply with her audience.

Lucy Kitchen

Lucy Kitchen’s songs are deft and delicate, built on clean-limbed and gentle lines and embellished with only the absolutely essential sonic details. Beats are minimal, textures subtly woven and the music feels nothing more than gossamer and smoke like layers skilfully interlaced to maintain a musical weightlessness.

In the search for touchstones she is often compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Beth Orton and, vocally, to Sandy Denny.

Jake Puntis

An intricately clever instrumental guitarist based in the New Forest.
