Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) are delighted to feature work from their MA Painting students.
The work will be exhibited as part of AUB Postgraduate Show 2024.
AUB’s Shows are a celebration of the achievements of their 2024 graduating students, with the MA and MRes Show ending the season. Our MA Painting students are exhibiting their final major work (Show) at Poole Lighthouse.
Painting defines its practice through the particularities of the painted field: the making materiality of the unique object, a globally acknowledged cultural history and the dedicated and dynamic relationship of the painted object to the painter.
‘The work’s created for this exhibition are the outcome of a dedicated programme built upon the cross-fertilisation of practical application with an understanding of contemporary painting discourse. Individual studio practiced, theoretical understanding, visiting experts in the field, critiques and debate are the palette which nurtures their talents. These creatives are mapping their positions within the painted territory.
This exhibition showcases the strength, talents, and diversity of a new and distinctive voice in Painting study.’
