Save the date - Poole Pride is set to return this Summer as a joyful celebration of the beautiful identities of our community.
With its home here at Lighthouse, come as you are and embrace a full day and night of inclusive entertainment.
By day there’s a festival of LGBTQ+ creativity, with talks, crafts and workshops, live comedy, cabaret and music. Explore an array of stands and meet with local organisations supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.
New for 2025, the ‘Queer Ceilidh’ (Celtic Folk Dancing) is sure to be a memorable highlight and there’s no shortage of other opportunities to get into the groove with a family friendly silent disco and a Destination Opera recital. And be sure to visit Dorset-based-sewist Matt Wilding’s Wings of Pride installation. Quilted in two pieces and based on an eagle’s wingspan, the wings are a celebration of Pride that can also be used to protect and comfort.
Then in the evening, stand-up comedian Chloe Petts “one of our most compelling young comics” (The Guardian) gives us an insightful and humorous take on gender and sexuality in the Theatre. This will open the evening to drag artists and an afterparty silent disco.
Everyone is welcome at Poole Pride, a joyous LGBTQ+ festival filled with vibrant events for all ages.

About Poole Pride
Now in its second year, Poole Pride was started in order to make a real and lasting impact on the town and the fact that it is back for a second year means if even just one LGBTQ+ person feels more seen, more valid, more welcomed, and more supported, it will be a success.
