Have a passion for amazing food and brilliant customer service? Want to work in one of the largest regional arts centre in the UK?

We are looking for an experienced Chef (general) who will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and preparation of food at The Beacon.

You should have a proven track record in catering for large numbers of customers and providing interesting and varied buffet options. The Beacon closes at 8pm (Tuesday to Saturday) and you will rarely be working later than this time. This is a challenging and often fast paced role and will suit someone who can manage demanding service periods, in a small team environment.

An interest in the arts is an advantage, a flexible, positive attitude and a sense of humour is essential. If you can demonstrate success in a similar role, have the skills and ability and are ready for the next challenge in your career path we would like to hear from you.

Interviews will involve a practical element. Candidates should be prepared to produce and serve several set dishes.

Lighthouse offers a progressive, friendly working environment driven by our values as an organisation to be Aspirational, Welcoming and Excellent. Our staff wellbeing is a key priority guided by our Investors in People accreditation to support Mind, Body and Togetherness.
