Studio Jazz: Georgia Mancio & Alan Broadbent Quartet

Fri 2 May 2025

As part of a tour celebrating their new album - A Story Left Untold, multi-award-winning vocalist/lyricist Georgia Mancio and double-Grammy-winning pianist/composer Alan Broadbent join us in our Sherling Studio for an unforgettable night of Studio Jazz.

Georgia Mancio (voice), Alan Broadbent (piano), Andrew Cleyndert (bass), Dave Ohm (drums)

Lauded as ‘one of the most formidable song-writing partnerships of the 21st century’ (Jazz Views), their works have drawn comparisons to Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter and Joni Mitchell.

In a globally acclaimed collaboration spanning 12 years, (their first gig was actually in Studio Jazz) their performances have included Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Krakow, Rochester and London international Jazz Festivals.

Album Reviews, International

The third album by lyricist/vocalist Mancio and pianist/composer Broadbent confirms what I've known from the first hearing of their debut album Songbook (2017) via Quiet is the Star (2020) to A Story Left Untold (2025) - that I was in the presence of greatness.

Bebop spoken here

Quiet Is The Star is, simply, a glorious album of beautifully performed new songs by a song-writing team that, in my opinion, takes its place among the best!
