Dorset School of Acting Youth Theatre: Friday 6.30 - 9.30pm

Ages 3 - 21 years

Theatre training by theatre professionals. As part of Dorset’s only full time drama school, regular classes include acting, singing, dancing, classical & contemporary texts, mask work, musical theatre, working on camera, stage fighting, LAMDA and the DSA’s own certificate in performance. Regular productions range from off west end musicals to adapted Shakespeare and didactic theatre. All taught by theatre professionals from TV and West End. While focusing on confidence and esteem building, students can also progress into the profession.

Dorset School of Acting: September - May full time training

Ages 17+

Dorset's first and only independent full time drama school. Celebrating 100% success in placing students in recognised drama schools for further training including Central School of Speech & Drama, LIPA and Rose Bruford College. A Trinity registered centre, DSA offers a 1 year full time intensive course in Acting & Musical Theatre which includes a diploma in Speech and Drama from TCL. Students are trained by practicing theatre professionals and receive masterclasses from leading industry specialists from stage & screen. The course is supported by Drama Centre, Rose Bruford, LIPA and MTA. With the support of major West End producers and current performing professionals, The Dorset School of Acting provides aspiring young performers with the opportunity to train and prepare to become professional performers.

Safehouse: Improvised and Experimental Music

A space for experimenting with music, sound & art. The only requirement for participation is a readiness to leave all your concepts and habits at the door and enter with a willingness to listen and respond to others. This is a safe place.
